Ethiopia: AU to urge UN to defer cases against Kenya, Sudan leaders

The African Union will urge the UN to defer International Criminal Court cases pending against Kenyan and Sudanese leaders while they are in office, Ethiopia's foreign minister said Friday. "Sitting heads of state and government should not be prosecuted while in office and we have resolved to speak with one voice to make sure that our concerns are heard loud and clear," Ethiopian Foreign Minister Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in Addis Abbaba.
