A suicide bomber struck a religious gathering in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday killing at least eight people including a provincial law minister and wounding more than 25 others, officials said. The attack occurred as Israr Ullah Gandapur, law minister for the troubled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, met guests who came to greet him on the first day of the Islamic festival of Eid al-Adha, provincial health minister Shaukat Yousafzai told AFP. "I talked to the minister's brother and he told me that Gandapur has been martyred," Yousafzai said.
