Partial Greek election results put Syriza on track for victory

Greek anti-austerity party Syriza was on course for a historic victory in general elections, setting up a confrontation with the European Union over austerity, partial official results showed Sunday.
The leftist party has 35.4 percent of the vote compared to 28.9 percent for conservative New Democracy, the party formerly in government, results from a quarter of polling stations showed.
