UK doctor who died in Syria held for unauthorised activities

A British doctor who died in Syrian custody and whose family says he was murdered had been detained for "unauthorised activities," a report said Wednesday, adding that he had hanged himself. "British citizen Abbas Khan entered Syrian territory illegally and undertook unauthorised activities... the cause of death being asphyxia caused by hanging," said a medical report cited by the official SANA news agency.
