The Cabinet has approved the construction of three road intersections in southern and western Amman at a cost of JD45 million, to be financed through a Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) grant to Jordan.
Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour ordered the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to discuss the incorporation of the three road projects on the agenda that will be implemented with these funds.
Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji hailed the construction of the intersections, pointing out that these projects will ease traffic congestion in the capital and had been a top demand put up by the heads of local councils and the citizens in Amman.
The Mayor had met with Minister of Public Works and Housing, Sami Halaseh, to discuss the projects and the need to carry out these as a priority.
