A ship sailed into Safaga port on Monday carrying 63,000 tons of wheat from Russia, said spokesman for the Red Sea Ports Authority Malak Youssef.
The shipment was unloaded after finalizing all required procedures and examining some samples to make sure they are fit for human consumption, he added.
The port also received a ship with 44 trucks and 44 passengers on board.
Another ship is to set sail with 410 passengers and 27 trucks on board
