Agriculture Minister Adel el Beltagy has met with a delegation from the Saudi-Egyptian Businessmen Association (SEBA) to discuss operational procedures for the cultivation of one million feddans, which were announced by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The meeting, held on Saturday, was attended by board chairmen of 30 Saudi, UAE and Egyptian companies before their meeting with Sisi.
The meeting discussed ways of allocating plots of lands to the companies, which are SEBA members, said member of the board of directors Ahmed Darwish.
The association obtained 200,000 feddans of the total area allocated to the project, he added.
The project will provide two million new direct jobs in the agriculture sector, he said.
