The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said Friday the annual revenues of the Egyptian railways increased in February by 40.2 percent, reaching EGP 89.3 million compared to EGP 62.7 million in February 2014.
CAPMAS added in a statement, of which MENA obtained a copy, that the number of railway passengers in February increased by 53.6 percent when compared to February 2014.
The number of passengers hit 19.2 million in February 2015 against 12.5 million in February 2014, the statement read.
