The Bahrain Noor El Ain Festival has achieved dazzling success in its first year. The festival included the novel souk "Amwaj Bazaar" in Amwaj Lagoon from March 5-7. The event attracted thousands of visitors and shoppers.
The invitation to participate in the bazaar received massive response. All available spaces have been booked by vendors and artists. The bazaar includes a multitude of events arrayed for the festival's first which proved to be a great success.
The activities include local products being sold by more than 40 vendors, free of charge physical fitness programmes on March 6-7 between 9:00 and 4:00 pm, arts and handicrafts, design and business workshops, open cinema and live entertainment, the works of more than 30 participating artists. The festival also includes local, Gulf, Arab international musicians, in addition to local musicians who play music throughout the weekend. The souk will see for the first time "tasting" tours upon request of shoppers and visitors.
The visitors will experience foods at more than 20 restaurants, coffee shops and cafeterias in the Lagoon area of Amwaj Island.
