Social Development Minister Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Balooshi has today inspected the progress of work on Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa Social Centre.
The state-of-the-art is located at Wadi Al-Haninya, in the vicinity of West Riffa Club. Present were Social Ministry Undersecretary Hanan Mohammed Kamal, Works Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for construction projects and maintenance Mona Jassim Al-Mutawa and other key officials.
The three-storey centre, which covers 8350 square metres is expected to be complete within eighteen months. The facility has been designed to feature especially administrative offices, training classrooms, halls for lectures and social activities, in addition to a multi-purpose theatre which accommodates 286 people.
Work on the social centre started on December 18, 2013, after demarcating a land covering an overall 18,000 square metres for the projects. A whole floor will be allocated to enable productive families to showcase their home-made products.
