Cabinet
Cairo - MENA

Cabinet Spokesperson Ambassador Hossam El Kawish denied reports circulated on social media on the dismissal of two million employees as part of conditions set by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to aid Egypt's ailing economy.

He urged media to be accurate in releasing any news reports on Egypt.

He said the Civil Service Law, which has been recently approved, guarantees several privileges for employees working in the state administrative authority, citing the 7 percent allowance approved by the government for the state employees that would cost the country a sum of EGP 35 billion.

The cabinet spokesman also noted that the Civil Service Law is outlined to organize the relation between the state and its employees in a way that could guarantee more governance at the managerial level
