The Renault Algeria group plans to set up, in the province of Constantine, a factory for manufacturing spare parts for its cars, said Thursday Zoheir Benameur, representative of the brand in Constantine
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the first car produced in Algeria, the new Renault Symbol "Made in Bladi" held at a Ain El Bey hotel, Banameur said that the future factory will manufacture spare parts for all cars designed by Renault, "produced or marketed" in Algeria.
Feasibility studies and selection of a suitable site for the installation of this factory have been launched across the province, said the head of Renault-Constantine, considering that the factory will improve the rate of industrial integration of this car.
This rate of national integration of the new Renault Symbol produced in Oued Tlélat (Oran), currently estimated at 17%, will reach 40% by 2018, said, meanwhile, Reda Djebbar, sales manager "East" of Renault Algeria.
Trials of performance of the new car were conducted in the presence of prefect of Constantine, several local officials and journalists.
