Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

Eagle Hills Abu Dhabi has recently awarded the construction and infrastructure works contract for the entire 63,677 sq.m. site of The Address Fujairah Resort and Spa to Joannou and Paraskevaides, J&P.

The Abu Dhabi-based private real estate investment and development company made the announcement during an official signing ceremony that marked the groundbreaking of the luxury hotel and residential development, representing a significant milestone in the progress of the project in Fujairah.

The Address Fujairah Resort and Spa is scheduled to be complete by 2019, and will comprise 196 rooms with a range of five-star amenities and four residential buildings that include 172 branded apartments, five beach villas and five garden villas. The development also features a 500-metre promenade, beach access and a unique plaza.

Located in Sharm, Fujairah, famous for its landscape of mountains and uninterrupted sea views out onto the Gulf of Oman, the resort will offer tranquility and high-end living for its residents and guests.

Since the project was revealed in April 2016, Eagle Hills has completed the grading and marine works at the site.

Speaking on the announcement, Low Ping, CEO of Eagle Hills, said, "Today, we are a major step closer to bringing quintessential living to this unique part of the UAE, which is set to become the beating heart of Fujairah. We are pleased to appoint J&P given their strong reputation and portfolio. With the ground and marine works complete and a huge level of demand coming from investors, this project is well on track for its 2019 completion and this announcement demonstrates our commitment to the world-class levels of construction we will deliver for The Address Fujairah Resort and Spa."

With 23,000 staff operating in nine countries, J&P, a Cypriot international building, civil and electromechanical engineering contractor, has delivered high profile developments in markets throughout Africa, Europe and North America. In the Middle East, the company operates in Saudi Arabi and Oman as well as the UAE where it has been working since 1971 with offices in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Grigoris C. Christofides, CEO, said, "We are honoured to be working with Eagle Hills on this prestigious project. Our vast experience coupled with an excellent track record will help provide the assurance that the project will be executed to the highest quality standards and will be successfully delivered on time."

Eagle Hills is working closely with the Fujairah and Dibba Municipalities on two projects, Fujairah Beach and The Address Fujairah Resort and Spa, where it is committed to boosting the economies of the Northern Emirates. In August 2017, the company announced the signing of a AED300 million facility with the National Bank of Fujairah to finance the ongoing construction of the resort.
