The third Arab forum to restore funds smuggled abroad kicked off on Saturday in Geneva.
Egypt's Justice Minister Saber Arab is taking part in the forum which is being held under the auspices of Swiss President Didier Burkhalter.
He expressed optimism that Egypt's strenuous efforts would be successful to restore the smuggled funds.
For his part, head of Egypt's Illicit Gains Authority Youssef Othman told MENA in statements that 1.5 billion dollars have been smuggled abroad under the regime of ousted president Hosni Mubarak.
