Cairo - MENA

The Foreign Ministry has called on Egyptian fishermen to respect other countries' sovereignty.

Egyptian fishermen must not penetrate territorial waters of any of our neighboring countries, the foreign ministry warned in a statement.

More than once Egyptian fishing boats were seized in the territorial waters of our neighboring countries for illegal fishing, the ministry said.

It also warned against illegal fishing in the territorial waters of our neighboring countries especially those witnessing instability such as Yemen and Libya or others facing some terror threats.

Some countries are under terror threats and have raised to maximum its preparedness to immediate shooting of violator, the ministry warned.

Such warnings should be taken seriously by fishermen to avoid any such mishaps.
