Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources Sherif Ismail left Amman Wednesday after a one-day visit, where he met with Jordan's Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and his counterpart Mohammad Hamid.
The meeting tackled boosting cooperation between the two countries in the energy field.
Ensour highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and Egypt in various domains, stressing the importance of boosting cooperation in the energy field to ensure energy security.
The governments of Jordan, Egypt and Iraq signed a memorandum of understanding in Amman last year on cooperation in the oil and natural gas field.
