The Gulf Petrochemicals Industries Companies (GPIC) has adorned its record with landmark achievements in 2014. HRH the Premier's Advisor for Industrial and Oil Affairs, also GPIC Chairman, Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa took pride in the company's outstanding results and remarkable records.
He credited the GPIC Bahraini staff for sparing no efforts to continue the success story, hailing their dedication and professionalism, which enabled the company to achieve pre-set goals despite mounting challenges facing petrochemical products and fertilisers in regional and international markets.
He commended all GPIC departments for their strenuous efforts and one-team spirit which ensured the accreditation of the factories and operations and consolidated its administrative edge and productive efficiency. GPIC President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawaheri also underscored the corporate achievements which enabled the company to wing many awards in 2014.
Citing compiled figures, he stressed the company's success in achieving a record of 4,634 accident-free days, which amount to 18,7 million hours. "The company has exported 1.6 million metric tons of ammonia and urea, methanol in 2014-up by %1.5 compared with pre-set figures", he said, adding that the urea factory has achieved an average daily output 2,048 tons – an all-time high since the plant opened in 1998.
