Egypt's Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr on Friday discussed Egyptian-Lebanese relations with Lebanon's Prime Minister Tammam Salam.
The meeting, held in Beirut, also dealt with ways to boost economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and to create more joint investments in the coming period, a statement by the Egyptian Trade and Industry Ministry reported.
Kabil underlined the importance of involving the private sector in both countries to develop trade and investment relations.
Nasr, for her part, said that Egypt's advanced economic plans would have a great impact on the Arab economy.
For his part, the Lebanese premier affirmed Egypt's pivotal role, especially in light of challenges faced by the region at the moment.
He expressed appreciation for the role of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in support of stability.
The two ministers held a similar meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to discuss relations between the two countries.
Kabil and Nasr are currently paying a visit to Lebanon to take part in the Arab Economic Forum.
