His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania, took part in the Sun Valley Economic Forum in the U.S. State of Idaho, which was attended by leading U.S. and international economic figures.
The King met on the sidelines of the forum with a number of businesspeople and heads and representatives of the major U.S. and international companies and reviewed with them the scope of economic cooperation with Jordan and ways to benefit from investment privileges offered by Jordan.
The King spoke about development programs and mega projects being implemented by Jordan in various fields in partnership with the private sector as well as with regional and international companies.
The businesspeople and heads of the companies voiced appreciation for the King's relentless efforts to enhance Jordan's position on the world economic map, achieve development and attract investments into the Kingdom.
The Sun Valley Economic Forum has been held annually in July since 1983, with the participation of leading figures and businesspeople from around the world, who convene to discuss global economic and political challenges.
On the sidelines of the forum, King Abdullah also met with the U.S. Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter and discussed with him military cooperation between Jordan and the United States.
