Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (Khalifa Foundation) has started distribution of new consignments of relief materials to families in 12 Tunisian provinces following a wave of extremely cold weather which hit the country recently.
A source at the foundation said the aid programme, organised under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, started yesterday with distribution of winter relief materials, including food, winter clothes, blankets and heaters, to 4,500 families in two Tunisian provinces.
The programme is being implemented in collaboration with the UAE embassy in Tunis.
