The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan team has distributed new winter aid to 3,000 Tunisian families in the governorates of Jendouba and Tozeur, hit hard by the cold wave that swept across Tunisia over the past few days.
An official source at the Foundation said the move follows the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to assist the Tunisian families affected by the cold weather.
It added that the campaign will target 37,000 families in 12 Tunisian governorates, noting that the team, in conjunction with the UAE Embassy in Tunisia and the Tunisian Union for Social Solidarity, distributed the winter aid to the beneficiaries.
