A delegation representing Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) headed by board member Tariq Al-Mutawa discussed here on Tuesday with member of the Omani Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dhofar Governorate, Sheikh Salem Al Kaf ways of bolstering trade cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides also discussed prospects of investing in the Sultanate.
In a statement, the Omani side asserted the importance of real estate development, which is the future gateway for investment in the Sultanate, especially with the continuous increase in demand for this type of investment by the private Gulf investors, especially Kuwaitis.
They also probed mechanisms to facilitate and overcome the obstacles facing investors especially with regard to delay in the execution of properties procedures as well as the modernization of laws and regulations relating to real estate investment.
For his part, Al-Mutawa underscored the importance of the ongoing communication between the two chambers as a gateway to facilitate procedures for investors in the two countries.
He also stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations between Kuwait and Oman in various fields, especially economic ones.
