Madinah region is currently witnessing the reshaping of many of its infrastructure, service and roads projects and preparing vital transportation means to match the prosperity and expansion, which are being implemented in the urban areas, to accommodate the steady population density and increasing numbers of visitors who flock to it every year.
This comes as a culmination of the aspirations of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the President of Board of Directors of Madinah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and member of the Investment Council in the region, Dr. Mohammed Faraj Al-Khatrawi, said that Madinah is experiencing at the present time the implementation of mega-projects, with a total cost of about SR 500 billion, topped by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Project for Expansion of the Mosque of the Prophet (peace be upon him), at a cost of more than SR 70 billion.
