Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, accompanied by a number of ministers, inspected on Monday west Damietta Power station which now has a capacity of 500 megawatts.

The minister praised the efforts exerted by the companies that seek to increase the capacity of the plant to 750 megawatts through the use of combined cycles without the use of fuel.

For his part, Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker said the capacities of a number of power plants in the country including Assiut and Sharm el Sheikh will increase in the same way.
