Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab opened Thursday a national forum for the employment of people with special needs.
Giving a speech during the inauguration, Mahlab said that the government attached great importance to people with disabilities and there was determination to solve all the problems facing them, said Cabinet Spokesman Hossam el-Qawish.
Mahlab further said that a database would be established to register the number of people with special needs and their geographical distribution in order to provide the necessary needs and services.
The forum was held to coincide with Egypt's celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD).
