H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, today attended the graduation ceremony of 225 graduates of the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS), in the fields of banking (BD) and Islamic banking diploma (IBD), in addition to the first batch of students from the Bachelors of Banking Diploma and Islamic Finance Diploma for the years 2012 to 2015.
Sheikh Mansour congratulated the graduates and urged them to join the banking and financial sector in the country or further continue their academic achievement to gain more specialised knowledge in this important area, which he deemed as one of the strategic sectors that is responsible for banking and financial security in the UAE.
He also stressed the importance of continuing plans which were aimed at increasing the number of Emiratis in the financial and banking sectors. He also described the sector as a main partner in the economic and financial development given its impact on capital and internal and external investments movement.
Sheikh Mansour also urged all banking and financial institutions to work with a sustainable vision which enhances Abu Dhabi's position as a global financial centre.
EIBFS Director-General, Jamal Al Jassmi, said that Sheikh Mansour's patronage of the ceremony is a source of pride and gratitude of all graduates and staff which would contribute to enhancing serious work and innovative achievements.
