Egypt and Tunisia
Tunis - MENA

Deputy chairman of the Egyptian-Tunisian economic chamber Gaber Hawas said that he will submit a proposal to the Egyptian and Tunisian officials to hold a bilateral agreement to apply a barter system between the two countries to mitigate the dollar crisis.

In statements to MENA, Hawas said that Egypt and Tunisia have a problem in providing hard currency sources but they have locally-produced products that are needed by the two countries.

If the barter system is applied, the need for foreign currency will be reduced, he went on to say.
