Housing Minister Bassem bin Yacoub Al-Hamar has praised Bahrain International Garden Show 2017 ad its significance in stimulating national economy, social and diplomatic relations.
The minister, in a statement to Bahrain News Agency "BNA", extended congratulations to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the National Initiative for the Development of Agricultural Sector, marking the launch of the event. 
He commended HRH Princess Sabeeka's keenness on supporting holding the annual show that has grabbed the attention domestically and internationally. 
He noted the unmissable development witnessed by the 2017 show and the increase of foreign participations, as well as ministries, government bodies and those interested in the agricultural field. 
He pointed out HRH Prince Sabeeka's thoughtful vision that will contribute to increase agricultural products and promote national food security.
He noted the Ministry's plans on creating extensive gardens in various governorates, including the Northern City residential project, raising agricultural awareness among citizens in line with HRH Princess Sabeeka's directives on benefiting from the open spaces in the housing units areas, urging citizens to increase agricultural products.
