Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani inaugurated Saturday with Italian Minister of Economy and Finances Pier Carlo Padoan the Qatari section of Expo Milano 2015.
HE the Qatari Minister expressed his pride at the presence of the State of Qatar in the event. His Excellency also congratulated the Italian government and people for hosting the notable event. HE the Minister added that it was important for Qatar to participate to discuss concerns of the international community related to food security. In concluding his remarks, HE the Minister of Economy added that Qatar's section in the Expo aims to promote the country internationally.
For his part, the Italian Minister said his presence in the Qatari section today reflected the strong bilateral relations between Italy and Qatar.
The two ministers toured the section and listened to a briefing on Qatar developmental achievements. The two ministers were also briefed on notable projects taking place in Qatar at the moment.
