PM and minister of interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani
Doha - QNA

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah inaugurated Tuesday the Annual macroeconomic forum 2015, hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in the Four Seasons Hotel this morning.

HE Prime Minister gave a speech marking the occasion and said that the world is currently facing complex economic and political challenges, particularly in the Middle East. His Excellency added that such challenges call for everyone to work together to overcome those challenges.

HE Prime Minister said that the current strength of the Qatari economy in face of international crises calls for continuing to develop the Qatari private sector and diversifying the national economy to reach the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. His Excellency acknowledged the great economic achievements Qatar made in recent and stressed that it requires further work to continue on the right developmental plan laid out by HH the Emir.

Moreover, HE the Prime Minister said that economic crises that hit the global economy one after the other highlighted the importance of having strong analytical capabilities, which is what today's conference aims to develop. The state's authorities are currently cooperating with one another as well as the private sector to create an analytical framework for the future of the Qatari economy, whether the public or private sector. Such planning will also direct the use of resources in more efficient ways.

In concluding his speech, HE the Prime Minister expressed his thanks to those who worked on organizing the forum and their efforts in supporting the national economy's development.
