Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi
Cairo - MENA

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that Egypt backs the Chinese initiative for reviving the historical Silk Road, saying Cairo is fully ready for cooperation in this respect as soon as possible.
Sisi's remarks were made at the start of his official talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping at China's Great Hall of the People.
Sisi said this road has been a historical route for China's trade to the world and Egypt has been a cornerstone of the Chinese traders' trips to various world countries.
He said this initiative coincides with Egypt's launching of the Suez Canal Corridor that will further push forward international trade movement.
