President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting Sunday with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Chairman of the General Authority for Construction and Housing Cooperatives Hossameddin Rizq on Sunday.
The meeting took up the developments of the one-million feddan reclamation project, which is the first phase of a larger one that targets the reclamation of four million feddans nationwide, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
Sisi underlined the importance of the project, which will be a nucleus of integrated urban communities within two or three years.
The Farafra Oasis project, which is expected to be completed by October, is a model to follow for the one-million feddans project, the president said.
