Tourism Development and Investment Company, TDIC, the master developer of major tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, has announced that it has signed an agreement with Lycee Theodore Monod to open a campus on Saadiyat, making it the first French school on the island. This highlights TDIC's ongoing commitment to enhancing the rich educational opportunities on Saadiyat that serve the Abu Dhabi community, including its French-speaking residents.
The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of TDIC with the attendance of Ali Majed Al Mansoori, TDIC's Chairman, Dr. Taher Al Kendi, a Board Member from the school, the French Ambassador to the UAE, Michel Miraillet, TDIC CEO, Sufian Hasan Al Marzooqi, the Vice President of AFLEC, Rimah Hammoud, and the French cultural delegation.
"We are pleased to have established this partnership with one of Abu Dhabi's leading French-language schools. We are confident the new campus will strengthen the current educational offerings on Saadiyat for pupils. This agreement also highlights the growing interest in Saadiyat as a leading destination across all sectors, for the benefit of its residents and the wider Abu Dhabi community," said Al Marzooqi.
The school, which will house pupils from kindergarten to high school in its 33,000 square metre campus, will be based in a prime location close to the Saadiyat Beach Residences.
