Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil said that new measures will be taken to tighten control over customs outlets to prevent the entry of low-quality products.
In a statement on Wednesday, the minister said that the new measures will help expedite the customs clearance procedures.
The Trade Ministry is cooperating with the Finance Ministry and the General Authority for Export & Import Control to take all necessary procedures at customs outlets to monitor imports and exports, the statement added.
