Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Alzaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, has met with Sheikh Amir Waheed, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ICCI.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, and means of pushing forward trade and investment partnerships between the two countries.
The Ambassador gave a brief presentation on work progress for Expo 2020 Dubai, expressing his appreciation of Pakistan's participation at the exhibition.
Alzaabi added that the UAE has launched 165 projects in Pakistan as part of its keenness to support health, education and infrastructure sectors.
The ICCI president said that Pakistan and the UAE enjoy friendly relations, adding that there is significant potential for growth in bilateral trade between the two nations.
Waheed emphasised the need to focus on enhancing communication between the private sectors of the two countries to contribute to the strengthening of trade ties between Pakistan and the UAE. He went on to say that there are several opportunities for UAE investors in the infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and water management sectors.
He also praised the UAE's continued support to his country, especially in the areas of health, education and infrastructure.
