The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of International Cooperation and Development on Saturday singed two agreements with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) Under which the gulf Arab state will offer $3.9 million to care for Syrian refugees.
The ministry said in a statement that the donation will provide healthcare to Syrian refugees in Jordan as well as education for refugee children and job opportunities for youth refugees in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
The Ministry noted that the agreements were signed on the sidelines of the UAE delegation's participation in the 69th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
