UAE unveils Dubai Plan 2021 eyeing bigger role as hub

Dubai ruler and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, launched here Dubai Plan 2021, state news agency WAM reported on Wednesday.
The framework of Dubai Plan 2021 includes six themes that shall define and describe Dubai by the year 2021.
The six themes are city of happiness, city of creative and empowered people, an inclusive and cohesive society, the preferred place to live, a smart and sustainable city, a pivotal hub in the global economy and excellent government.
Dubai Plan 2021 aims to reinforce Dubai positioning as a global centre and destination through a number of fields, programs and projects launched recently, which have included the launch of the initiative to transform Dubai into the capital of the Islamic economy.
