The value of Egypt's exports to US has reached EGP 10.6 billion in 2016 opposed to EGP 9.4 billion in the same period of the previous year, according to a statement by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
Ready-to-wear clothes ranked on top of Egyptian exports to the US with a percentage of 56.1 of the total amount of exports to record EGP 5.9 billion in 2016 compared with EGP 5.7 in the previous year with a 4.1 percent increase.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian imports from US hit EGP 36.5 billion in 2016 compared with EGP 33.5 billion in 2015, according to the statement.
The statement also noted that US investments in establishing companies reached EGP 27 million in 2016 compared with EGP 13.2 million in 2015.
The number of American tourists reached 184.3 thousands in 2016 down from 188.7 thousands in 2015 recording a 2.3 percent decrease.
