Forty-eight ships transited the Suez Canal on Tuesday, with a total cargo of 2.9 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 25 vessels carrying 1.5 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 23 ships carrying 1.4 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
