As many as 48 ships transited the Suez Canal on Tuesday, with a total cargo of 3.3 million tons. 

The north-bound convoy included 25 ships laden with 2.6 million tons topped by Panamanian container ship "TOLEDO TRIUMPH" carrying 157,000 tons, according to statistics by the Suez Canal Authority.

The south-bound convoy comprised 23 ships with 1.7 million tons topped by Panamanian container ship "PALOMA" carrying 157,000 tons
