Fifty-three ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday with a total cargo of 2.7 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 15 vessels carrying 700,000 tons, while the north-bound convoy included 38 ships carrying two million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
