On the sidelines of the 30th Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation "COMCEC", Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro met in Istanbul with Mr. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, the President of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, in presence of BCCI Chairman Khalid Al Moayyed and Bahrain's Ambassador to Turkey, Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Alabdullah.
During the meeting, the Minister praised deep relations between Bahrain and Turkey, which contributes in enhancing the mutual visits between the leaders of the two countries. He cited the historic visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Republic of Turkey which yielded key agreements and memoranda of understanding that bolstered bilateral relations.
Dr. Fakhro stressed government's keenness to strengthen relations with all countries of the world and engage the private sector being the main engine of economic activity, stressing the importance of focusing on small and medium enterprises. The Minister highlighted the ministry's efforts to promote investment opportunities and attract foreign investments. Mr. Rifat Hisarc?kl?o?lu commended the efforts of the Government of Bahrain, underlining the crucial role of the private sector in developing economic relations.
