Trade and Industry Minister Munir Fakhry Abdel Nour on Tuesday called for expediting negotiations towards establishing a free trade zone between Egypt and the Eurasian Union.
During a press conference on the sidelines of Egyptian - Russian meetings on boosting joint cooperation, Abdel Nour stressed the need to focus on the establishment of the new investment fund as a financing tool to implement projects, calling on the Russian side to consider Egypt as the entrance to the great African market.
The minister added that a large 26-country free trade zone will be established in East Africa from the Mediterranean to the Cape of Good Hope.
