Dubai-based Gulf Ship Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gulf Navigation Holding, announced on Tuesday a recent tie up with Switzerland’s SeaQuest Group to set up a ship management joint venture and expand operations in the region.

A new company will be created under a partnership agreement signed recently in Geneva by Gulf Ship Management and SeaQuest Group. It will be affiliated and owned by Gulf Navigation and will be headquartered in Dubai starting from January 2017, according to an emailed press release from Gulf Navigation Holding.

Under the agreement, signed in Geneva, Switzerland on 21st December, Gulf Navigation will expand its business in the Middle East, Africa and other neighboring countries.

"This partnership will not only contribute towards our business growth in the field of the ship management, but also towards the expansion of our services in the field of technical consultancy to manage a variety of maritime projects and improve the quality of our services with the support and experience of our new partners," Khamis Juma Buamim, CEO of Gulf Navigation, commented.

"By joining forces with one of the leading UAE shipping companies, we have the unique opportunity to enter in a very active and expanding market and bring our expertise and skills as well as our consistent and persistent approach to quality services," said Sebastiano Portunato, Director of SeaQuest.
