Japan will invest in the economic zone of the Suez Canal, said Deputy Chief of of the Japanese Embassy Ken-Ichiro Mukai.
In statements to MENA, Mukai said Japanese giants including Mitsubishi are highly interested in doing business in planned projects of the zone.
The diplomat hailed the outcome of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's recent visit to Japan. He said Japan will receive 3,000 students per year in scholarships.
In this regard, President Sisi met with senior officials of the education sector to discuss ways to benefit from the Japanese expertise, said Mukai.
He said his country works in infrastructure projects in Egypt.
He was addressing a a symposium held on the sidelines of a training course for African journalists.
