Minister of Industry and Trade Hatem Halawani on Monday met the Foreign Minister of Lithuania, Linas Linkevicius, who is currently visiting the Kingdom.
Halawani stressed the importance of consolidating bilateral economic relations in all fields, especially in trade and investment, and taking advantage of opportunities on both sides.
The two ministers discussed formulating a proper mechanism to increase economic cooperation between the two countries through revitalizing intra-regional trade and establishing joint investment projects in the light of opportunities available.
Halawani called on Lithuanian businessmen and stakeholders to invest in Jordan and benefit from the incentives granted to investors, guaranteed by the new investment law.
He also called on Jordan's businessmen and the private sector to exchange visits and hold meetings, that will enhance economic cooperation and identify investment opportunities in Jordan and Lithuania.
The Foreign Minister of Lithuania expressed his country's desire to establish an effective economic partnership with Jordan, especially in trade and investment, by taking advantage of the successes achieved by the Kingdom in various fields.
