In the presence of Minister of Finance Anas Al-Saleh and visiting Togolese Minister of Economy and Finance Adji Oteth Ayassor, Kuwait and Togo signed on Wednesday an agreement on economic and technical cooperation.
The deal aims to strengthen the economic ties between the two friendly countries in keeping with the latest developments of the world economy; it envisages the launching of a joint ministerial committee on the various aspects of economic cooperation, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement here.
The agreement is meant to facilitate the movement of capital, goods and services between the two countries, and launch joint ventures in the economic, financial and commercial domains.
Ayassor, now on a visit to Kuwait under an invitation by Al-Saleh, held talks with the Kuwaiti minister on economic, investment and development cooperation and a range of issues of common concern, the statement pointed out.
Managing Director of Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) Bader Al-Saad and Deputy Director General of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Hisham Al-Wugayyan as well as other officials from both sides attended the talks.
