Suez Canal Authority Chairman Mohab Mamish held a meeting Tuesday with a delegation from German-Arab Chamber Of Commerce, chaired by its President Peter Ramsauer.
During the meeting, Mamish lauded the German industry as one of the best worldwide, saying that Egypt needed its renowned high quality products.
He also urged German businessmen to direct their assets to Egypt's market.
The Egyptian government is keen on overcoming every obstacle facing investors to refresh development plans, he said.
Yahya Zaki, Executive Director of Dar al-Handasah Company which reviews the canal projects expressed confidence that the Suez Canal's development plans were coming out to real life in cooperation with the Suez Canal Authority.
The development of the Suez Canal project includes six new ports on the shores of the Mediterranean and the Red Sea to provide infrastructure for the vital mega project, Zaki told the meeting.
East Port Said Port, with its distinguished location east of the Northern entrance of the Suez Canal, is expected to be one of the world's biggest ten container ports, he added.
