Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah discussed Tuesday with Japanese envoy for Middle East peace process Yutaka Uemura ways of rallying funds for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
During their meeting, Hamdallah stressed the importance of Japan's support to the Palestinian government, highlighting the need for exerting more international efforts for raising funds for the reconstruction process.
The premier expounded to the visiting delegation the latest political and economic developments and preparations for holding a conference on Gaza reconstruction in Cairo next month.
Uemura reiterated his country's readiness and commitment to supporting rebuilding Gaza.
