Moscow plans to introduce retaliatory measures in response to the latest round of US sanctions against Russia, which will be based on the principle of reciprocity, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
"Of course, this is an absolutely standard constant-position, in this case the starting point is the principle of reciprocity," Sputnik quoted Peskov as saying.
The US Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security added dozens more Russian companies to the country's blacklists to ensure the "efficacy" of sanctions against Moscow over the Ukraine crisis and to allegedly guarantee their compliance with the nuclear nonproliferation regime imposed on Iran, Syria and North Korea.
The two documents are scheduled to be published later on Wednesday, but their pre-publication versions are already available on the US Federal Register website.
